Multiple methods, experience, and tools

We teach and speak the languages of many different methodologies to avoid what we call, trading one set of problems for another. In your quest to establish collaborative teams and continual improvement models, sometimes Waterfall is the right answer. Most often, success is found within the areas that each methodology does well. For example, planning and tracking cost into quantifiable business objectives is done very well by waterfall examples and details. These opportunities allow us to self organize teams internally to the project and deploy scrum tools to shorten time to market against these types of constraints.

A Common Language

As long as there has been technology, there has been a need for business and IT to come together for a greater goal and accomplishment. Project Management adoption provided a middle ground.
