Bevill Edge® Projects are unique Statements of Work defined by a Project Management Plan with specific budgets, time lines, and measurable successes. According to experts; Project Management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. Understanding which project methodologies are right for the work you perform is critical to any successful execution and implementation.

Traditional projects are typically not repeatable and require a technical perspective of the work management. Projects require different skill sets than your standard operations and business management. Our project management facilitating process are designed to each govern a critical aspect of a project. Projects are thought of to align with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMIBOK® Guide), 4th Edition, 2008. These project are identifiable by their phased approaches, defined processes, and specific project management deliverables.

Agile projects, on the other hand, leverage the ability to manage complex and chaotic work. These projects are time-boxed and iteratively released. Software is a major contributor this methodology, but isn't the only implementation of agile. Other lean tools, like kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), kaizen, and Lean Six Sigma are available for discussion within the agile methods. You may also have encountered the terminology of "Rapid Release Deployment Models."

At Bevill Edge, we take your project management very seriously. Before we discuss project management plans, and facilitating processes, we must first understand the context of your project management implementation. Many methodologies and tools exist for managing work and workflow. Determining which tools are right is done by assessing the right tool, at the right time, for the right work. We call this, a reasonable amount of cost, for a reasonable amount of value, in a reasonable amount of time.

For example, the cost management strategy outlines the necessary escalation paths, key resources, approval processes, and references the Change Management policy prior to any modifications to the baseline budget allowance. This ensures the business management can make the right decisions, at specific turning points, about the work's earned value to the organization.

It is our job to know these things. Your teams are focused on your core business mission, objectives, and products. By implementing the Bevill Edge® approach, you ensure you get a quality implementation without the training curve and productivity loss associated with organizational change.
